FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: invention is related to method measuring concentration of one gas specified in advance in gas mixture with the use of electrolyte fitted with first and second submerged electrodes. Electrolyte with electrodes connected to voltage source is subjected to action of gas mixture. Electric current flowing through electrodes and electrolyte depends on concentration of ions and is measured in the form of signal of gas concentration. Gaseous molecules are adsorbed in zone of first catalytically active electrode and electrolyte and are later split into atoms and then converted either to ions or participate after it in chemical reaction. In both cases concentrations of formed ions depend on catalytic action of at least one electrode and on measured gas concentration. EFFECT: reduced cost of measurement systems and methods, prevention of contamination with spent gases, possibility of measurement of concentrations of various gases by simple method. 22 cl, 8 dwg
