FIELD: sorbents. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology of production of carbon- mineral sorbent including those for medicine in the form of hemosorbent and application material as well as for use as carriers for catalysts, enzymes, cells, and biologically-active substances. Method consists in high-temperature pyrolysis of hydrocarbons on mechanically strong mineral aluminum oxide matrix with specified meso-macroporous structure and significant dissolution of hydrocarbons with inert gas (from 1:3 to 1:6). Pyrolysis is conducted until hydrocarbon content 8 to 21 wt % is attained, after which reaction mixture is activated with water steam (to 1 vol %) in inert gas current to carbon content 7 to 20 wt %.
