SUBSTANCE: at least one lump of wood is introduced in the press together with liquid- absorbing material, then isostatic pressure exceeding 80 MPa is applied to the lumps and material. Pressure is released, and the member and liquid-absorbing material, which during the pressing operation has absorbed the liquid pressed out of the lumps, are taken out of the press.
