FIELD: geology, seismic prospecting. SUBSTANCE: method relates to formation of vertical seismic sections of rocks crossed by borehole with use of vibrations generated by drilling tool as source of seismic vibrations to obtain high signal-to-noise ratio by means of determination of cross-correlation between signals from tool and signals collected by lines of seismic geophones. Signal from tool is processed with the help of several detectors of various types (vibration transducers, ammeter, pressure transducers) mounted on pipe-line, at drilling site and around it. Some curves in which signal-to-noise components have different characteristics are recorded and can be separated by feeding filtration functions or by their processing with the aid of Fourier transform or on basis of their statistic distribution. EFFECT: improved authenticity of method.
