FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, particularly, sintering and blast-furnace production; applicable in production of sinter from iron ore materials with magnesium barren rock. SUBSTANCE: sinter includes solid fuel, limestone, scale and iron ore components of which at least one component contains magnesium barren rock. Added by metering are screenings of pellets containing magnesia and iron in ratio of 0.0025-0.01. Amounts of introduced screenings are determined by the necessity of ensuring magnesia-iron ratio in sinter within 0.06-0.14. Charge is mixed and pelletized. Agglomerated charge is loaded onto traveling-grate sintering machine and sintered. Iron-ore components are used in the form of siderite with magnesium barren rock, limonite and screenings of oxidized pellets with their ratio of (35-45):(25-35): (25-35), respectively. EFFECT: higher metallurgical properties of sinter production and its low costs. 2 cl, 1 ex
