Abstract RU 2145082 C1

FIELD: analytical instrumentation, analysis of natural and technological water, biological and geological samples. SUBSTANCE: method includes pulse atomization of sample, ionization of atomized atoms during Penning collisions and registration of formed ions with the use of mass-spectral analysis with separation of ions by flight time. Sample is pulse-atomized from surface heated to 1000-1500 C on which sample dried in stream of ballast gas forms dry residual. Kr or Xe or their mixtures with Ar under pressure of 1.0-2.0 mm Hg is used in the capacity of ballast gas. Device for realization of method incorporates ionizer placed into gaseous-discharge chamber with inert gas and flight-time mass spectrometer including system for sampling and focusing of ions and reflection mass-spectral analyzer. Ionizer is manufactured in the form of thin-walled metal cylindrical hollow cathode with metering hole meant for injection of sample to be analyzed and vacuum port located on same axis.
