FIELD: cleaning of flue gases from nitrogen oxides and/or sulfur oxides. SUBSTANCE: method involves mixing in apparatus raw gas with ammonia and exposing to electron beams, with ammonia being introduced in flue gas flow above center of electron beams emitted into reactor at distance exceeding electron beam range by less than 2.5 times, preferably, at distance making 0.5 of full electron beam range; introducing ammonia by one of the following methods: 1) introducing only ammonia, 2) introducing ammonia together with air, 3) introducing ammonia together with water, 4) introducing ammonia together with air and water. Ammonia is introduced in the form of heated ammonia and dry air (with dew-point temperature less than -15 C at pressure of 1 atm). Ammonia is supplied by means of pipelines arranged so as to define electron beam spherical divergence circuit. Construction of apparatus allows amounts of added ammonia to be minimized, denitration efficiency to be increased and ammonia leakage to be significantly reduced.
