FIELD: gas treatment. SUBSTANCE: treatment of waste gases to remove sulfur oxides and/or nitrogen oxides is conducted by adding ammonia to waste gas and irradiating it by electron beam. Method is distinguished by that ammonia gas is first uniformly mixed with air and resulting mixture is further mixed with water to form homogeneous gas-liquid mixture, which is injected into reactor. Effective desulfurization of waste gas in the reactor outlet is sufficiently high to significantly reduce ammonium sulfate concentration in ammonium sulfate by-product. EFFECT: enhanced treatment efficiency. 4 cl, 4 dwg, 2 ex
