FIELD: protective mineral coatings. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protection of steel against erosion-corrosion wear and can be used in mechanical engineering and oil and gas industry. Coating consists of, wt %: frit 100, aluminous fibers 10-12, clay 5, finely ground sand 10, and borax 1, aluminous fibers being 3-8 mcm in diameter and 80-180 long. Frit is composed of, wt %: SiO2 55.6-66.0, Na2O 10.7-15.6, K2O 4.6-6.0, B2O3 1.6-2.0, CaO 2.2-3.0, Co2O3 0.6-0.8, Li2O 8.5-10.0, ZrO2 4.6- 5.5, Sr 1.2-1.5. Preparation: fit is ground and aluminous fibers are then added, grinding being accompanied by adding supplementary clay, finely ground sand, and borax. Mix is ground for 8 hr. EFFECT: increased wear resistance, impact strength, acid stability, and microhardness. 3 cl, 3 tbl
