GAS-LIQUID MIXTURE PRESSURE FEEDING DEVICE Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: oil industry; drilling and completing of oil wells. SUBSTANCE: proposed device is designed for pressure feeding of gas-liquid mixture by piston pump. It has piston pump with working cylinder, suction and delivery valves, booster chamber arranged between pump working cylinder and its delivery valve. Booster chamber communicates through inlet valve with tubular collector of gas-liquid mixture or gas. Outlet end of tubular collector provided with inlet valve is located outside booster chamber. Inlet valve communicates with booster chamber space through horizontal channel in wall of booster chamber. Indicated horizontal channel can be furnished with baffle providing jet flow of gas at velocities lower than sound velocity. Longitudinal axis of indicated channel does not coincide with diameter of booster chamber. Inlet valve can be arranged either horizontal or vertically relative to booster chamber. Such design of device decreases bubbling in booster chamber when gas or gas-liquid mixture is delivered into chamber.
