FIELD: gas compression and transfer at production of oil and gas. SUBSTANCE: method for quasiisothermal compression of gas by reciprocating liquid pump consists in gas feeding to an additional chamber communicating with the pump working chamber. Compression and subsequent transfer of gas are accomplished by action of the pressure of liquid fed by the pump on it through floating penetrable solid-phase medium located on the phase boundary and possessing a capillary effect and developed surface. The device for realization of the method has a reciprocating piston pump located in its working chamber, suction manifold for working fluid, additional chamber connected to the pump working chamber and communicating with the gas source through a suction gas valve, and through a delivery gas valve - to the pipe-line of gas feed to the consumer. Installed in succession between the delivery gas valve and the pipe-line of gas feed to the consumer are interconnected heat exchanger and dropping liquid separator, whose outlet communicates with the pump, suction manifold, positioned in the additional chamber on the phase boundary is a floating partition made of penetrable porous material possessing a high thermal conductivity and capillary effect. The floating partition is made in the form of a piston made of penetrable porous material, in the form of a layer of fibrous material, in the form of a floating solid piston with ports filled with fibrous material, or in the form of a layer of floating penetrable granules possessing a capillary effect.
