FIELD: ring-shaped sectionized furnace for firing carbon blocks. SUBSTANCE: ring-shaped sectionized furnace includes a large number of chambers K1-Kn for placing carbon lumps to be fired. At firing process portion of furnace with minimum number of chambers is divided by successively arranged: preliminary heating zone K3-K2, combustion zone K7-K4 and cooling zone K8-K10. Combustible gases generated at firing process are sucked from first chamber K2 in preliminary heating zone through branch pipe joined with common ring-shaped pipeline. In order to prevent inflow of excess gas from first chamber K1 arranged near preliminary heating zone, in branch pipe joined with first chamber K1 there is counterpressure type fan connected with first chamber K1. EFFECT: carbonization of binding matters in carbon lumps for making homogeneous carbon blocks whose properties allow to use them, for example in electrolysis chambers of aluminium cells. 2 cl, 3 dwg
