FIELD: psychiatry, particularly, methods of diagnosis of affection of brain in children with perinatal pathology. SUBSTANCE: method includes assessment in child at the age of 2 years and 6 months and 3 years of sensor functions (visula perception, hearing function), emotions expressive speech, visual-motor coordination, visual-spatial orientation, impressive speech, play activity. With assessment by high point of sensor functions, emotions, impressive speech and play activity with total assessment value of 12-16 points, light degree of mental retardation is diagnosed; with total assessment value of 8-12 points, moderate degree of metral retardation is diagnosed, and in cases with less than 8 points, serious degree of mental retardation is diagnosed. EFFECT: simplified procedure and higher accuracy of diagnosis in determination of mental development of child at the age of the third year with perinatal encephalopathy.
