FIELD: mechanical engineering; two-stroke and four-stroke carburetor forced ignition engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed method provides possibility of considerably (several-fold) increase of time of fuel preparation for combustion. Thanks to it intra- cylinder combustion process is transferred to molecular level. This provides possibility of complete combustion of different fuels. Method of operation of internal combustion engine comes to the following: on the one hand, delivery and combustion chambers are separated, and on the other hand, process is organized so that pressure in delivery chamber in closing stage of combustion exceeds pressure in combustion chamber. Chamber are separated at all processes of cycle except for process of aftercompression and delivery of oxidizer into combustion chamber. This peculiarity is provided owing to design of piston enlarging functions of this device. Provision of movable perforated plate and spring and corresponding arrangement of channels relative to concentric flange of piston make it possible to separate delivery and combustion chambers and to bring them into communication in required moment at preservation of main functions of piston. Proposed design provides possibility of displacement of zone with maximum thermal and mechanical gradients to side behind top dead center which causes favorable influence onto mechanical and thermodynamic characteristics of engine operating cycle.
