MAGNETOTHERAPEUTIC APPARATUS Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: medical engineering; medicine, particularly, gynecology, urology, proctology and stomatology. SUBSTANCE: apparatus is intended for exposure of pathogenic zones in walls and surrounding tissues of open (accessible to introduction of magnetic inductor without use of instrument) cavities to gradient pulse magnetic field. Pulse form in apparatus is varied by replacement of detachable inductor shaft with definite set of permanent magnets secured on it. Total number of permanent magnets corresponds to condition m > 1. Form of pulses depends on requirements of curative methods with due regard for concrete kind of disease. Form of every permanent magnet is determined proceeding from required pulse form. Total number of permanent magnets and law of their arrangement on inductor shaft surface are also determined by required pulse form. Arrangement of permanent magnets on inductor shaft surface in direction of shaft axis corresponds to location of pathology zones, and maximum characteristic size of permanent magnets in radial direction does not exceed internal radius of magnetic inductor casing. Apparatus is provided with stop for adjustment and fixing of length of magnetic inductor introduced into open cavity of organism. Apparatus also has control device in its drive. Apparatus allows exposure of pathologic-state zones of tissues to gradient pulse magnetic field according to optimal law of variation of pulse repetition frequency prescribed by curative methods.
