FIELD: sawmill machinery and equipment. SUBSTANCE: machine is used for length cutting of wood. Machine has sawing unit, carriage reciprocally movable relative to sawing unit with mechanisms for fixing and positioning of material subject to sawing, and with wedge-shaped chop-off device which is movable in plane of sawing tool. For purpose of widening range of lateral cross-section of material subject to sawing and for enhancing operational reliability of machine, wedge-shaped chop-off device is made in the form of double-arm lever. Lever is provided with counterweight. Axle of its turning is located under supporting surface of carriage. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 5 dwg
