FIELD: wood-working industry.

SUBSTANCE: when sawing with removal of heart rot the timber is centered, clamped, sawed along the axis. The resulting segments are placed in faces on the feeding conveyor. The segments are fed for further sawing. Before ripping the root part of segments is lowered to achieve horizontal position of the tangent line drawn along the segment in the plane of its symmetry. Then the segment is lowered parallel with the specified tangent line to total displacement of rot parts below the plane of operation of the sawing equipment. The preset position of segments is fixed when feeding for sawing. The machine for ripping timber with heart rot comprises the feeding and duplex receiving conveyors; a saw mounted vertically, a mechanism of turning the segments around a horizontal axis, bandsaws mounted horizontally. The saw mounted vertically saws assortment along the axis. Each of the horizontal bandsaws simultaneously saws the obtained segments. Clamping feed rollers are mounted above the feeding conveyor. Rollers are aligned with each other in a horizontal plane, fix the position and clamp the segments. The saw is mounted at the same level with the upper part of the feeding conveyor. The feeding conveyor comprises a series of spring-loaded feeding rollers. The spring-loaded rollers are lowered under the action of the clamped segment.

EFFECT: enhanced quality of sawn timber without significant increase of labor costs for its production.
