FIELD: knitting industry, in particular, constructional members of sinking-type knitting machine. SUBSTANCE: selector 1 has lower end 5 held by immovable magnetic selecting ring coupled to needle cylinder, and upper profiled flexible part 6 for withdrawing lower part 5 of selector 1 from needle cylinder. Straight or inclined profile defines upper part of selector 1 adapted for engagement, respectively, with straight or inclined end of body of needle pusher 2 positioned under needle cylinder. Guiding part 7 having longitudinal elongate end extending in parallel with profiled flexible part 6 is connected with the latter and may come into engagement with coil springs for retaining selectors 1 in slots of needle cylinder. Selector 1 has upper shoe 9 extending from it in direction opposite to guiding part 7, and lower shoe 8 extending in parallel with upper shoe 9 and adapted for engagement with lifting wedge. Selector of such construction has reduced weight and sizes and provides for precise selection of needles. EFFECT: simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 10 cl, 7 dwg
