FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: magnetic selection ring has ferromagnetic body with slotted flange. To form heads, each receiving core of related releasing magnet, slots are provided with recesses filled with diamagnetic material. Selection ring cooperates with selectors having shaped flexible portion, lower shoe, which deflects outward under the action of lifting cam or inward to be retained in this position so as to be out of contact with cam. Selectors are further provided with upper shoe acted upon by lowering cam disposed on lower surface of auxiliary ring for retaining flexible portions of selectors. Selectors have lower beveled conical end, which is brought into contact with magnetic ring by another cam. When conical end of selectors is retained by permanent magnets, lower shoe is imparted shape preventing it from contacting with lifting cam. Electromagnets may be excited for selective release of selectors. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 3 cl, 8 dwg
