FIELD: railway industry, more particularly preparation of compositions for crosstie rubber spacers. SUBSTANCE: composition comprises, wt parts: butadiene-styrene rubber OKS-30-APM-100; modified rubber crumb, 15-35; desired additives; sulfur, 0.5-1.5; altax, 0.5-10; zinc oxide, 0.5-1.0; stearic acid, 0.5-1.0; plasticizer 3-5. Modifier crumb is prepared by crushing rubber in the presence of chemically active rubber modifier selected from nitrol-N(2-methyl-2-nitrosopropyl)-p-4- nitrosoaniline, metaphenylene bismaleinimide, and resorcinol urotropin. The resulting crumb has concentration of paramagnetic centers (3-8) of 10¹⁷ speen/g of crumb. Rubber crumb include worn-out cross-tie rubber spacers.
