FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, particularly, blast-furnace process; applicable in regulation of slag regime of blast furnaces in making of cast irons. SUBSTANCE: method includes charging into blast furnace of iron- containing burden which consists of sinter, pellets, raw ore, metal additives, fuel, fluxes; blowing; smelting of materials with production of cast iron and slag. Iron-containing burden is charge into furnace with ratio of sinter, pellets and total raw ore and metal additives equalling (2.0- 5.7):(1.7-5.5):1.0, respectively. In this case, burden contains more than 56% of iron. Obtained slag has total basicity of not in excess of 1.2. Content of silicon in cast iron is corrected to required values by varying theoretical combustion temperature.
