FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: refuse chute has barrel with end section located in refuse collecting chamber. End section is provided with discharge device, which is made up of two flaps synchronously turnable by control handle. Flaps are connected with tie-rod made in the form of central link with axle secured to end section. Central link is pivotally connected with at least pair of side links. Central link is made in the form of flap control handle. Mounted on axle of this link is turning device which is connected with weight suspended by rope or with spring. At normal operation turning device is fixed from rotation by easy-melting lock at open position of flaps. In case of fire occurring in refuse collecting chamber, easy- melting lock is destructed. As result, turning device due to action of weight or spring comes into engagement with control handle which is turned for complete and tight closing of flaps. Turning device can be made in the form of disk with circular slot in which fixing member is displaced. Fixing member pivotally connects one of side links of tie-rod with flap control handle. Length of slot is determined by two extreme positions of fixing member moving in slot. At one extreme position, flaps are open, and at other extreme position flaps are closed. At rotation of disk, edge of disk is brought into engagement with fixing member while turning control handle for complete and tight closing of flaps. Distance from axle of turning device to circular slot is determined depending on effort applied to flap control handle. Aforesaid embodiment of refuse chute allows for preventing spreading of flame in case of fire occurring in refuse collecting chamber. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 1 dwg
