FIELD: civil engineering, applicable for refuse and garbage disposal in residential and public buildings, as well as in buildings of industrial enterprises. SUBSTANCE: the refuse chute shaft of a multistory building has a non-combustible or fire-resistant, preferably sound insulation external casing and an internal metal casing with a wall thickness of at least 0.3 mm. The external casing is made at least on part of the perimeter of the internal casing at a possibility of fulfillment of the function of the missing part of the perimeter of the external casing by the wall or walls and/or partitions of the building and/or by the components of the building and/or by the components of the building structure with formation of a cavity or cavities between the casings filled with a non-combustible filler proceeding from the condition of provision of deviation of the geometric dimensions of the internal casing in section in the area of arrangement of the filler by not more than 1/10 of the inside diameter of the internal casing. EFFECT: improved ecology of the refuse chute, reduced specific consumption of materials labor consumption at manufacture of refuse chutes in newly built buildings, as well as at replacement of the refuse chute shafts in public buildings. 11 cl, 6 dwg _
