FIELD: transport engineering; road vehicles and aircraft. SUBSTANCE: steering mechanism has driving member in form of pendulum arranged on steering shaft for turning around shaft axis in both sides from middle position and provided with two arms with two pins, and drive member installed for longitudinal displacement and mechanically coupled with steerable wheels and being kept in engagement with pendulum pins through shaped end face surface of head part. Vehicles steering mechanism provides mechanically optimum nonlinear dependence of turning angle of steerable wheels from turning angle of steering shaft. Taking into account the law of change of centrifugal forces acting onto vehicle at changing of trajectory of movement, increment of distance of displacement of drive member with increase in angle of turning of steering shaft from middle position increases.
