FIELD: metallurgy of noble metals; applicable in separation of gold from gold-silver alloys at small gold producing enterprises. SUBSTANCE: method is characterized by the fact that receiving smelting of gold-silver alloy is carried out in ore-thermic furnace by charging of product into preliminarily formed soda slag and addition into slag of preset amount of silver chloride to obtain silver-gold ration of at least 3:1 and produced alloy prior to acid treatment is dispersed to size of minus 2.5 mm. EFFECT: accelerated and simplified separation of gold from gold-silver alloys. 1 dwg, 1 ex
