FIELD: production of magnesium by electrolysis of molten chlorides. SUBSTANCE: proposed electrolyzer includes housing 1, lining 2, electrolytic compartments 3 with cathodes 5 and anodes 6, cell 4, separating partitions 7 with upper 8 and lower 9 flow conduits. Upper flow conduits are arranged over length of partition 7 with growth of height relative to cathode from center of cell towards its butts or from one butt of cell to another. One to three extreme flow conduits on butts of cell are located above the rest. One to three extreme flow conduits are V-shaped and are arranged above others. Extreme V-shaped flow conduit has flow section 1.1-2.5 times larger than other V- shaped flow conduits have. EFFECT: decreased labor input when unloading magnesium from electrolyzer. 6 cl, 6 dwg
