FIELD: mechanical engineering; devices for transmission of torque from drive shaft to driven shaft. SUBSTANCE: friction centrifugal clutch consists of drive clutch member 1 and driven clutch member 2 with friction taper members 3 and 4, centrifugal weights 5 with rods 6 and 7, bush 8 with flange, locking nut 9 and sleeve 10 fitted on driven shaft 11. Driven clutch member is provided with centering projection 12. Centrifugal weights 5 are articulated to drive clutch member 1 and bush 8 by means of rods 6 and 7 in such way that angle α, formed by rods 6 and 7 is lesser than 180 deg when at rest. Bush 8 with flange is free to rotate relative to driven clutch member 2; it is pressed to friction surface A of driven clutch member 2 at all times by means of locking nut 9 which limits axial motion of bush 8 with flange. Magnitude of angle α which is lesser than 180 deg is obtained due to limitation of axial motion of driven clutch member 2 by sleeve 10. EFFECT: simplification of construction; enhanced operational reliability; increased torque being transmitted. 1 dwg
