FIELD: working of ice, melting of ice blocks of the required shape and dimensions from the mass of iceberg or glacier. SUBSTANCE: the ice cutter has a hollow frame. It uses two concentrically arranged half-frames in the form of pipes truncated to part of circumference, joined by a conjugating plate. The working surface of the external half-frame has groove for acceleration of water discharge from the zone of ice melting. A transit water intake is located around the edges of outlet of the grooves. The ice cutter is provided with water intake and discharge pipe-lines, pump, pipe-lines for feeding and discharge of heat-transfer agent. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of melting of ice blocks. 3 dwg
