FIELD: working of ice, applicable for melting of ice blocks from glaciers or icebergs. SUBSTANCE: the ice cutter has a frame, whose lower part serves as a working member, made wavy and has grooves communicating with a water intake for discharge of water, produced in the zone of contact of the ice cutter and ice, outside the working zone. The heating element is located inside the frame and repeats the shape of the working member. To reduce the loss of heat power radiated by the heating element, a heat insulator and heat reflector are installed in the upper part of the frame. The ice cutter is provided with a water intake, water intake and discharge pipe-lines, pump. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of cutting of ice blocks of the required shape and dimensions. 2 cl, 4 dwg
