FIELD: robot engineering, in particular, automatic equipment for measuring remote three-dimensional objects. SUBSTANCE: method is implemented by human-machine system, which uses monitoring system, which has TV stereo unit, which is connected to computer, display for displaying image, and device which controls movement of cursor. Cursor on display screens sets reference points, which are used for development of model of surface. In simplest case, three points define flat surface in space. Model of surface is displayed on display screen together with image of observed landscape. Cursor is used for setting point to be measured. Those points are automatically marked on image of observed landscape. Values of three-dimensional coordinates of reference points and points that belong to surface are displayed on display screen. EFFECT: possibility to measure coordinates of points on smooth surfaces and in space between physical objects on landscape. 1 dwg
