FIELD: robotics, measurement of objects from distance while controlling transport and manipulator robots under extreme conditions, geology for remote probing of cavity in worked out rock. SUBSTANCE: method is realized by manned machine complex which main part is technical vision system including TV stereo unit matched with personal computer, display for visualization of image and device controlling movement of cursor. Measured point of observed scene is indicated by means of cursor on screen of display and its three spatial coordinates are computed automatically with the aid of program by personal computer and are visualized on screen of display. Analysis of area of interest in image is carried out thanks to capability of selection of measured points. Integration of measured points in model of external medium is realized on the basis of their belonging to observed object which enhances authenticity of model.
