FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to non-contact methods of obtaining large volumes of information for creating detailed three-dimensional digital and graphic models of both separate complex products, and three-dimensional models of volumetric structures at different stages of their manufacture. Method for non-contact measurement of three-dimensional geometry of convex and extended objects includes determination of coordinates of points of interconnected surfaces of measured object using two video cameras and determination of mutual arrangement of measured surfaces not visible simultaneously from one view of installation of video cameras, using several markers (not less than 3 pieces), visible simultaneously from the same angles as measured surfaces of object. Markers on the surface of the measured object are formed remotely by means of one or more radiation sources at the intersection of surfaces, which are difficult to measure simultaneously from one aspect of the video cameras.
EFFECT: high accuracy of measurements and possibility of measuring complete three-dimensional geometry of convex and extended objects using an optical method.
