FIELD: geochemical search for magnetite mineralization. SUBSTANCE: samples are taken and analyzed. Selection is conducted by primary halo and analysis is conducted for content of common iron, magnetic iron, sulfur, copper, zinc, silver, nickel, cobalt, manganese and molybdenum. Then values of productivity of these elements above backgrounds are found, as well as values of indices of first and second order. They are compared with reference values of geochemical indices. Comparison results give quantitative reference of broken primary halo to certain level of erosion section in reference metrics. EFFECT: achievement of accurate quantitative evaluation of level of broken magnetite mineralization in reference metrics and evaluation of its perspective with location of underexplored over-ore and top-ore levels of erosion section or lack of any prospect in continuation of further work if under-ore levels of erosion section are located. 2 tbl
