FIELD: solar- power engineering. SUBSTANCE: solar cell has semiconductor layer incorporating p-n blocking layer embedded through its thickness and irradiated by light on at least one side as well as contact members providing electric contact between semiconductor layer and each side of p-n blocking layer. Its manufacturing process includes production of semiconductor layer by grinding semiconductor material to powder condition, heating powder, and sintering it in special press to obtain semiconductor layer. Solar cell produced in the process is described. EFFECT: facilitated procedure, reduced cost, and improved efficiency of solar cell. 5 cl, 4 dwg
