FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to hepatobiliary surgery and gastroenterology, and can be used for treating patients with liver cirrhosis. Right branch of the portal vein is punctured through a right hepatic vein, a catheter is inserted, and the preliminary prepared autologous mononuclear stem cells (MSC) are intra-portal infused. A balloon catheter is delivered through the same approach, a canal repair is performed in the liver parenchyma with a balloon catheter with further positioning and implantation of a partially coated stent with overlapping the parenchyma with the coated part of the stent. Uncovered portion of the stent is positioned in the right branch of the portal vein; the stent is post-dilated with a balloon catheter with a control angiography.

EFFECT: method provides relief of the main complications of hepatic cirrhosis – portal hypertension syndrome and impaired protein-synthetic liver function, normalizes the venous gradient between the portal and hepatic vein system, as well as improves the protein-synthetic function of the liver, allows combining two procedures significantly improving quality of life and chances of these patients to wait for cadaveric liver transplantation due to introduction of MSC and performing transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunting through one surgical approach.
