FIELD: equipment for manufacture of packages, in particular, jet devices for applying glue to box flaps. SUBSTANCE: jet nozzle has body with working chamber and control chamber, pipeline for supplying emulsion to working chamber and pipeline for supplying energy-carrier, such as compressed air, to control chamber, nozzle and needle valve for removal of emulsion from working chamber, floating piston, and nozzle cover-holder for closing nozzle body at side adjacent to control chamber. Needle valve is made in the form of disk with seating lapping cone for centering it in base of emulsion channel formed as Laval nozzle. Rod of needle valve extends for predetermined length beyond nozzle. Glue emulsion is applied by means of jet nozzle on flaps of boxes prior to closing boxes. Such nozzles may be used in automatic line for packaging rodlike articles, such as welding electrodes. EFFECT: simplified construction and provision for automated operation of jet nozzle. 4 cl, 5 dwg
