FIELD: railway track equipment. SUBSTANCE: rail switch has movable rails 2 of main rail track, actuator and operating mechanism for shifting of movable rails from one position to another position, and also it has pairs of stops 4 of movable rails. Operating mechanism is made in the form of gate and slide unit in which slide unit 7 connected with actuator is coupled with gate 9 by means of linear cam-type shifter for displacing of movable gate and movable rail connected to it. Guide member of slide has two recesses 14, 15 located in longitudinal direction for purpose of interaction with locking protrusion of gate. Distance between recesses corresponds to distance between pair of stops 4 of movable rails. Application of embodiment of rail switch without tongue improves efficiency in fixing of movable rails.
