FIELD: transport engineering; spherical joints for front suspensions of transport facilities. SUBSTANCE: surface of insert of spherical joint has smoothly thinned part on side of hole of larger diameter in radial section from center towards spherical pin; inner surface of insert is stepped where cylindrical surface changes to spherical surface for keeping the lubricant between head of spherical pin and inner surface of insert; center of spherical surface of body is shifted relative to center of spherical head towards locking member; radius of sphere of body is found from the following expressions: R = (m2:2R1+m)+R1, where R1 is radius of sphere of spherical head; m is thickness of wall of insert in radial section along axis 0 and m ≠ 0. EFFECT: improved operational capabilities due to automatic maintenance of guaranteed tightness of fit of pin spherical head at automatic delivery of lubricant from oil cavity in the course of operation; enhanced reliability of holding spherical head in body. 3 dwg
