SUBSTANCE: ball-and socket joint insert is made of thermoplastic anti-fraction polymer material and features inner spherical surface, its end face being truncated, and outer surface furnished with locking ledges. The insert outer surface has lengthwise meridian grooves arranged along the end face circumference on the aforesaid truncated part and getting over onto the non-truncated part, the groove bottom thickness making 0.02 to 0.6 of the insert wall thickness. The insert inner spherical surface features circular grooves and a spherical recess. The insert outer surface top is made with a thickening part. The application of the above-described insert allows a gapless contact between friction surfaces, uniform distribution of contact strains, ruling out the contact between the filler and the ball pin sphere.
