FIELD: medicine, in particular, traumatology and orthopedics. SUBSTANCE: nail has cylindrical tubular body, at least one retaining device positioned within tubular body, motion direction changing member, and sleeve on upper end of nail. Upper end of tubular cylindrical body has shape other than cylindrical. Retaining device has at least two longitudinal cavities shaped so as to accommodate hook with arced sharpened end oriented toward outer side of tubular body and movable relative to accommodating cavity, when retaining member is sliding relative to tubular body. Motion direction changing member is positioned within tubular body for controlling longitudinal sliding of retaining device in two opposite directions. Sleeve is positioned for sliding without rotation relative to upper end of tubular body and is provided with at least one arced projection adapted for contacting with bone. Such construction of nail prevents fractured fragments from compression, when axial dynamic load is applied to them, and from rotational displacement during removal of nail from inner cavity of bone.
