FIELD: powder metallurgy, namely production of powders of metals, alloys and their chemical compounds by electric explosion of wire at making metallic, cermet, ceramic, composition and other materials and products with specific size of particles or grains about 10 nm or less, so called nanomaterials. SUBSTANCE: plant includes power source, capacitive type energy accumulator, reactor for explosion of wire having high-voltage and grounded electrodes, controlled device for switching capacitive type accumulator, mechanism for feeding wire, system for collecting powder. Three-electrode discharger is used as controlled switching device. Low voltage electrode of discharger is electrically connected with high-voltage electrode of reactor by means of insulator and it is grounded through resistor. High-voltage electrode is electrically connected with capacitive type accumulator and with upper portion of voltage divider. Control electrode is connected with unit for forming ignition pulses and with lower portion of charging voltage divider.
