FIELD: powder metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: reactor is filled with an acid-containing gas medium and wire is fed into it. The wire section interposed between the reactor electrodes is subjected to pulse current-induced heating. The heat pulse energy is chosen from the range of 0.2-0.7 sublimation energy of the metal to be exploded. The applied wire is over 0.5 mm in diameter.
