FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the preparation of metal powder based on nano- and microparticles. Method includes an electric explosion of metal wire in the reactor and the separation of particles by size. In the reactor, the gas medium is forced to circulate at the gas flow rate at the reactor inlet in the range from 1.5 m/s to 2.5 m/s. An electric wire explosion is carried out at a pressure of the gaseous medium in the reactor from 1 to 3 atm and the amount of energy introduced into the wire in the range from 0.6 to 0.9 of the metal sublimation energy of the wire, and the separation of the obtained powder particles is carried out with the release of a fine fraction with particle sizes less than 5 microns.

EFFECT: effective separation of particles in the gas stream into two fractions is provided.
