FIELD: fire-extinguishing. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technics for three-dimensional aerosol extinguishing of fires in closed spaces and non-ventilated rooms and more specifically to pyrotechnic compositions giving, after combustion, gas-aerosol mixture of combustion inhibitors. Aerosol-forming composition represents a pyrotechnic block containing, %; potassium nitrate, 60-67; phenol- formaldehyde thermoplastic novolac resin, 9-11; and dicyanediamide, 16-18; and covered by gas-permeable shell of powdered fire-retardant material, 8-11. Pyrotechnic block to fire-retardant weight ratio lies within a range between 1:0.9 to 1:0.12. Above-indicated shell is made in the form of granules composed of 93-95% dolomite, 4-5% urea, and 1- 2% Aerosil.
