FIELD: analysis of materials. SUBSTANCE: process includes treatment of pulp composed of ground material put in liquid by high-voltage electric discharges. High-voltage nanosecond pulses whose duration is specified by certain dependence are used to treat particles of material with size from some to hundreds micrometers. Plant for realization of process has high-voltage pulse generator, discharge cell with built-in electrodes, unit preparing pulp, unit taking in treated pulp, pipe-lines. Nanosecond generator with pulse repetition frequency in correspondence with specified relation is employed as high voltage generator. Discharge cell with two electrodes is placed in section of flow. One electrode is point that has high-voltage positive polarity and is so positioned that its tip is on axis of cylinder, second electrode is grounded and has form of thin cylinder with outer diameter equal to size of cell. Energy of each pulse is subject to specified relation. Invention makes it feasible to open thin inclusions in particles with size ≤ 1.0 mm.
