FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: material in form of pulp is treated by running HV electric discharge under breakdown mode. The discharge is generated under continuous pulp rotation in are of increased concentration solid material free of gas bubbles. The unit contains block for pulp preparation and block for pulp reception, pipeline, shutdown valve, HV pulse generator and electric discharge cell. The electric discharge cell is made out of fixed internal cone part out of dielectric material (2) and metal external cone part with possibility of rotation (1) on same axle (9). On the external surface of the internal part the disk current conducting busbars (5, 7) with HV positive electrodes (11) are installed. On the internal surface of the external part the disk current conducting busbars (6, 8) with earthed electrodes (11) are installed. One pair of busbars of different polarity with electrodes creates the electrode system. Number of electrode systems depends on the pulp properties. To each electrode system separate HV pulse generator is connected.

EFFECT: higher capacity and efficiency of disintegration process.
