FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves making longitudinal osteotomy of the neighboring healthy metatarsal bone retaining articular surfaces. Then, free fragment is fixed in transcutaneous apparatus using guiding distraction members and the healthy metatarsal bone fragment subjected to osteotomy is transferred in time into the total defect with distraction rate of 1 mm per day at the distal end of the fragment and 0.5 mm per day at the proximal end of the fragment. The foot is to be subjected to full load at the stage of distraction and fixation. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment; defect substitution with full-valued regenerate; repaired function of metatarsal phalangeal joints. 4 dwg
