FIELD: rubber and tire industry. SUBSTANCE: antiscorching agent is bottoms distillate of phthalic anhydride which consist of the following components, mass-%: phthalic anhydride, 70 to 93; phthalide, 0.1 to 0.5; trimethyl acid, 1.3 to 10.0; anthraquinone, 0.03 to 0.7; pyromellitic anhydride, 0.05 to 5.0; ash, 0.5 to 1.5; water-insoluble residue, 2 to 8; non-identified admixtures, 3 to 6. Antiscorching agent may be obtained in powder-like or laminated form. Rubbers with bottoms distillate of phthalic anhydride are equivalent to compounds with cleaned phthalic anhydride as far as their plasto-elastic properties are concerned. According to complex of physico-mechanical properties, experimental rubbers do not practically differ form series-produced rubbers. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 4 cl, 3 tbl
