FIELD: winning of selenium of technical and increased purity. SUBSTANCE: process can be recommended for factories winning this element. Selenium refining is realized by its cathode electric leaching in unseparated electrode space with cathode density of current 500-1000 A/sq.m and with concentration of sodium hydroxide 50-100 g/l with formation of selenide solution and its subsequent aeration. EFFECT: improved quality of selenium, enhanced output by current, simplified technology, increased production profitability thanks to decreased usage of reagents and simplified technology. 1 tbl
