FIELD: machine tool manufacture, namely, measuring temperature along the whole length of contact of abrasive tool with worked part. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of measuring infrared irradiation by means of infrared irradiation receiver turned to zone contact of abrasive tool with part; amplifying signal of infrared irradiation receiver, converting it to high-frequency signal and irradiating said signal with the aid of controlling-transmitting unit including infrared irradiation receiver, matching amplifier, modulator, transmitting antenna and autonomous power source. Controlling-transmitting unit is mounted in lengthwise groove of abrasive tool. High-frequency signal of transmitting antenna is sensed, amplified and registered by means of receiving unit including receiving antenna, receiver, demodulator, filter for separating useful components of signal, amplifier, analog-to-digital converter and registering device. Method allows to objectively appreciate thermal stresses of surface layer of worked part. EFFECT: improved reliability of measurements. 6 dwg, 2 ex
